I was thrilled to have another session at Legacy Horse Training Center because it is a truly BEAUTIFUL place! And it just so happened that little “C”‘s mom grew up on a dairy farm and was super excited to try to capture a few shots of her sweet girl interacting with LHTC’s 2 resident cows. As soon as she spotted the cows lounging in the shade, “C” made a bee line for them and wanted little to do with anything else:) We managed to distract her though and she explored the fields in her little ladybug tutu:) This little girl was super cute and I especially loved the way she wrinkled her nose when she smelled the flowers. AND I got to do one of my favorite things- meet another fantastic family!.jpg)

This mom contacted me to mostly photograph her youngest son. After exchanging several emails (in which I told her how I excited I was to meet her and her family)…I realized I already knew mom since she is one of my dearest friends’s cousins. Wow- that was a bit of a frazzled mom/teacher/photographer/blonde moment! (Give me a break- I haven’t seen them in several years and when I first met “S” she was not yet married to “M” therefore she had a different last name:) )Well, we worked it all out and I really enjoyed hanging out with this family and getting to know their sweet boys! Biggest boy “J” is a very outgoing and smart 4 year old who can count backwards from 100. (Again- WOW) Littlest boy “J” is a very busy and serious guy who very intensely focuses on the task at hand (picking up sticks, finding bugs etc):) As you can see, both boys are super cute! I sure DO love brothers!

These are SO awesome!! Love it!! Thank YOU
It was pure coincidence that I was able to schedule these two little girls on the same evening. We got rained out of our previous session times, but Sunday evening was perfect for enjoying a beautiful farm. (Check out legacyhorsetraining.com to see the amazing things they are doing with wild mustangs). First up was sweet little, 9 month old “C”. You may recognize her from her newborn session, 3 month session, 6 month session and various other family sessions… Can you tell that these are very loyal clients? Happy to sit in my chair (but not so happy to sit in the flowers) “C” took in the view and laughed at her big brother. She was not at all disturbed by the cow (who genuinley believes he is a dog) that came to check out my chair.

{No children were harmed in the shooting of this photograph:)}
Next up was 25 month old “C”. I have known her family for several years and all of them keep me laughing every time I see them. (I did not include some very funny shots of Dad purposefully looking “debonare” and mom cracking up…use your imagination) Big sister “A” very sweetly asked for some by herself too, so she happily showed her baby sister how to pose. It seems like just yesterday I was swiping newborn baby “A” from her mom and feeding her a bottle:)….time fly’s. I love you “L” family and all of your extended family too!

They look great, you are the best!
I loved the picture with the cow in it. How precious was that?
Beautiful girls!! lovely work!
Aren’t engaged couples so sweet?! I was so excited when this couple asked me to photograph their wedding! They have been dating for less than a year and the hope and excitement of their new life together is contagious:) I have known “J” for several years because he is a friend of my sweet husband. (Can you tell why “J’s” nickname is “Red Puppy”?) I was thrilled to meet Miss “A” and see how perfectly God placed these two together! I can’t wait for the bridal session and the Big Day!

I was so excited to FINALLY be able to do a session on the Lawn last Sunday afternoon! It has been several years since I have taken pictures there and I have been itching to get back:) These two high school sweethearts and UVA alum are very dear to me as well as are their two precious daughters. And so I might as well admit….walking around on a beautiful day with a fantastic family, taking pictures and laughing is really so much fun that I can’t believe I actually get paid to do it:) These girls were such good sports- they had so much fun exploring the gardens and running around… and then they spotted a rabbit and all focus was nearly lost:) After Dad chased the rabbit back to his girls and gave each of them a flower, their beautiful smiles returned and we were able to capture some wonderful memories for this WONDERFUL family.
